Features

  • Expand rice husk which is hard to decompose (expansion softening treatment) and convert it into a substance with high absorbency.
  • Expanded and softened rice husk can be used as base material for compost, mushrooms beds and raw material for bioethanol.
  • Available for a wide range of raw materials such as bean shell, wheat husk, buckwheat, shell, wood chips, chip dust, fish oat and so on.
  • Weed seeds and pests should die in the process of expansion, so you can reuse with confidence.
  • Little noise and dust occur because it adopts completely sealed processing method.

In co-drying facilities in Iwate prefecture, Meiwa's expansion softening equipment was installed as a machine for rice husks causing trouble. The processed rice husk is rich in water absorbency, it becomes a soft touch feeling, so it becomes an ideal bed material that absorbs manure of livestock well. Since the installation area is a famous place for livestock known as the brand of Maezawa cow and others, the problem of rice husk pile-up has been greatly improved by providing rice husk after processing to livestock farmers.

  • Material of compost. Rather than import from overseas, let's make it with rice husk in your region.

Recycling through composting of garbage and livestock has become common due to the recent improvement in environmental awareness. However, Peat Moss, a popular base material for making compost, is often imported from overseas. Collaboration with universities in Ishikawa prefecture has revealed that rice husk processed using the Meiwa's expansion softening equipment has composting performance superior to peat moss. Even without importing peat moss from a distance, you can produce raw materials from a large amount of rice husks generated in your region.
